How to register an insect trap camera in a project¶
Caution
This feature is intended for project administrators.
After signing in, the project list will be displayed. Click the vertical three-dot menu on the right side of the project you want to add an insect trap camera to.
Then click “Device management for insect trap cameras.”
Hint
You can also move from the project home screen by clicking the gear icon in the upper right.

The insect trap camera management screen will be displayed. Click the “Register” button.
Insect trap camera registration screen¶
On the insect trap camera registration screen, enter the unit number, installation location, email notification settings, cumulative difference email notification settings, heartbeat monitoring settings, insect trap location memory, auto reset, and SIM number.
Email notification settings¶
There are three types of settings for notifying insect detection results by email.
Do not notify by email¶
If notification is not required, select “Do not notify.”
Notify every time¶
If you want to notify every time (every hour), select “Notify every time.”
Notify by threshold¶
If you want to notify by threshold, select “Notify by threshold.” An email will be sent when insects above the threshold are detected.
When input is complete, click the “Change” button.
Cumulative difference email notification setting¶
This setting sends an email notification of insect detection results when the cumulative number of insects caught in a day exceeds the threshold.
There are two types of settings.
Do not notify by email¶
If notification is not required, select “Do not notify.”
Notify by threshold¶
If you want to notify by threshold, select “Notify by threshold.” An email will be sent when insects above the threshold are detected cumulatively. When input is complete, click the “Change” button.
Change heartbeat monitoring settings¶
The insect trap camera regularly sends information to this service. If this transmission is interrupted, the service cannot operate normally.
By setting heartbeat monitoring, the project administrator can be notified by email if the insect trap camer
Do not notify by email when the insect trap camera stops operating¶
If notification is not required, select “Heartbeat monitoring interval” and turn off all checkboxes. When input is complete, click the “Change” button.
Notify by email when the insect trap camera stops operating¶
If notification is required, select “Heartbeat monitoring interval” and turn on the checkboxes for the desired time intervals.
Note
Currently, you can select “3 hours” and “24 hours.”
If you want to notify by email when 3 hours have passed since the insect trap camera last sent information, turn on the “3 hours” checkbox.
If you want to notify by email when 24 hours have passed, turn on the “24 hours” checkbox.
If you want to notify for both, turn on both checkboxes.
Insect trap location memory setting¶
There are two types of insect trap location memory.
Disable insect trap location memory setting¶
To disable insect trap location memory, turn the toggle switch OFF.
Enable insect trap location memory setting¶
To enable insect trap location memory, turn the toggle switch ON.
Auto reset setting¶
There are two types of auto reset settings.

Please disable this feature only when instructed by PESCLE management.
Disable auto reset setting¶
To disable auto reset setting, turn the toggle switch OFF.
Enable auto reset setting¶
To enable auto reset setting, turn the toggle switch ON.
Enter SIM number¶
You can enter the SIM number for the insect trap camera. This is optional, so it is not a problem if you do not enter it.
Insect trap camera registration¶
When input is complete, click the “Register” button.
